Adjustment Counselling
Many injuries, particularly chronic conditions, have a significant impact on a person's life, both at work and personally. Adjustment to Injury Counselling (AIC) aims to assist the patient in coming to terms with the injury, minimising the negative impact on their mood and functioning.
AIC utilises a cognitive-behavioural therapy model (CBT) and includes a functional focus on specific areas of concern such as: sleep, activity scheduling, relaxation, Return to Work goals, exercise program compliance, to name a few.
