Psychological Assessment
Psychological Assessment
Psychological assessments are designed to examine the client's current psychological functioning across a range of areas including work/education, family and relationships.
The assessment involves completing some basic self-report questionairres and a clinical interview with the psychologist (usually up to 1.5 - 2 hrs duration).
We explore with the client the areas of concern, relevant history, mood symptoms, current functioning (e.g sleep difficulties) and desired goals.
A diagnosis may be considered if relevant and necessary and a treatment plan can then be developed based on the assessment findings.
